Nicole Chaszar

Coach Chaszar ranks amongst the most successful coaches in the region since taking over for the Golden Bears 16 season ago. With a 247-161 career record (.605), she is the winningest coach in the program’s 43-year history. Her teams have also won 66 percent of their conference games during her tenure. Chaszar has coached two CCC Player-of-the-Year and two CCC Rookie-of-the-Year honorees, along with 27 All-Conference selections.

 

The program has thrived with Coach Chaszar at the helm: a school-record 15 consecutive postseason berths, including every Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament since 2008, increased community service involvement, and a trend of 14 winning seasons in her 16-year tenure.

 

A native of Brackney, Pennsylvania, Chaszar was a four- time Atlantic-10 Conference All-Academic selection and a two-year captain at Temple University. She also was named the team MVP her senior season. Chaszar earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education and health teaching in 2000 and a Master of Education in Athletic Administration at Springfield College in 2003.
